Position Overview

Gold Creek Engineering is seeking a motivated and skilled Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working directly with fellow engineering team members for project execution support. Experience in Oil & Gas or other industrial industries is preferred. The applicant must be a self-starter and capable of performing at a high level with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare general arrangement, mechanical and piping design drawings utilizing 3D modeling software

  • Assist Engineers with equipment layout, mechanical and piping design

  • Provide drafting support for piping and P&ID reviews.

  • Create 3D models using P&IDs and equipment layouts.

  • Properly create and edit piping specs

  • Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures

  • Interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines.

  • Analyze, define, and solve problems.

  • Prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of previous CAD experience using Plant 3D

  • Must be capable of generating a 3D model from P&IDs

  • Experience in Oil & Gas or other commercial industries

  • Proficient with Autodesk Plant 3d
