Position Overview
Gold Creek Engineering is seeking a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our clients' midstream operations, with a focus on gas plant design and operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, experience in oil and gas facilities, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute projects efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize process designs for natural gas processing facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Prepare and review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to accurately represent system operations.
Perform equipment sizing calculations and specify major equipment and instrumentation for new and existing facilities.
Conduct process simulations and analyses to support design decisions and troubleshoot operational issues.
Develop process deliverables like design basis, process simulations, PFDs/P&IDs, stream summaries, line lists.
Collaborate with project teams including clients, contractors, project managers, and a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and standards to complex projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a preference for candidates with natural gas processing experience.
Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Symmetry suite, Aspen HYSYS, Promax) and other relevant engineering tools.
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards related to process design and safety.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Be willing to travel for occasional commissioning and as-built efforts.
