Position Overview

Gold Creek Engineering is seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our clients' upstream operations, with a focus on documenting current designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute projects efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare as-built piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to accurately represent system operations.

  • Collaborate with project teams including clients, contractors, project managers, and a multi-disciplinary team to develop engineering techniques, procedures, and standards to projects.

  • Assist with equipment sizing calculations and specify major equipment and instrumentation for new and existing facilities.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Ability to understand industry codes and standards related to mechanical design.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Be willing to travel for occasional as-built efforts and site walkdowns.
